About the role
The position is for a Specialist Radiographer working in a newly updated and prestigious Breast unit at Prince Philip Hospital. You will perform specialised radiographic examinations of the breast and assist with interventional procedures such as breast wire localisation and vacuum assisted biopsy.
Responsibilities
* Perform routine and specialised mammography examinations on your own caseload.
* Assist with breast wire localisation and vacuum assisted biopsy procedures.
* Assess images, record necessary information in PACS and Soliton.
* Operate a wide range of specialised imaging equipment safely and appropriately.
* Ensure all relevant safety checks are made before proceeding with any examination.
* Comply with IR(ME)R procedures, local rules and Health Board policies.
Qualifications & requirements
* CPD evidence, experience and training to undertake these duties.
* Experience in diagnostic radiographic examinations.
* Act as IR(ME)R practitioner and operator for radiological procedures within scope of practice.
