What You’ll Be Doing
* Loading and offloading of vehicles and general sortation of consignments
* Accurate checking of items out for delivery on the HHT and reporting of any discrepancies to your line Manager
* Complete vehicle checks and report any problems
* Complete deliveries and collections throughout the day in a timely manner whilst adhering to company standards and health & safety procedure
* As part of a 2-person crew, you will deliver, assemble and install a wide range of home furnishings, electrical products and sports equipment, ensuring every delivery is made with the highest level of customer service.
* Report any problems to your line manager throughout the day
* End of day – return to depot, unload and labelling of non-deliveries and ensure all deliveries are accounted for on the HHT
* Driver debrief with Manager on duty
* Ensure vehicle is cleaned and refuelled for next day
What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience of multi drop deliveries
* Excellent geographical knowledge of the area
* Good time keeping
* Excellent customer service skills
* Confident in dealing with people on the phone and in person
* Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
* Valid DBS check must be provided
* Experience with HHTs
Key Information
Salary: £12.25 per hour
Location: Redruth Depot
Hours: Variable hours per week; Monday-Friday, with a flexible approach to working
Reporting to: Operations Manager
Holiday: 28 days per year (including Bank Holidays). Holiday benefit – For every continuous year you’re with us, you’ll receive an extra day of holiday, up to a maximum of five.
