Role: Credit Underwriter / Credit Risk Analyst
Location: Fully remote (UK only)
Salary: £30,000 to £35,000

They’re now looking for someone who can help them grow by joining as a Credit Underwriter / Credit Risk Analyst.
It’s a hands-on position, perfect for someone who thrives on variety. You’ll be making real-time credit decisions while also using SQL and Python to support wider portfolio analysis. Whether you’re an experienced underwriter with a growing interest in analytics, or already blending both worlds, this role gives you the chance to stretch yourself and make an impact.
To be successful, you’ll need experience underwriting unsecured personal loans or an analyst who is happy/comfortable to help with the Underwriting side too. You'll also have a good understanding of credit risk. You’ll also need to be comfortable working independently, spotting risks, and making confident calls that balance risk with growth.

* Reviewing and assessing consumer credit applications across a growing portfolio
* Engaging with customers and gathering any additional information needed
* Spotting risk and fraud, and making clear, well-reasoned credit decisions
* Supporting analytics projects using SQL and Python (bonus)
* Generating insights on performance and helping shape credit strategy
* Collaborating across teams to improve processes and customer outcomes
* Taking ownership of your work in a fast-paced and fully remote environment
And have experience in…
* Underwriting in UK consumer lending, especially unsecured loans
* Working with credit risk strategies and understanding affordability models
* Using SQL or Python, or a willingness to learn and build your analytical toolkit
* Balancing commercial thinking with attention to detail
* Communicating clearly and making good decisions under pressure
* Being part of a remote team where trust, autonomy and collaboration are key
