The Role
As a Classroom Support Assistant, youll embark on a rewarding journey, learning from experienced professionals and directly contributing to the delivery of high:quality education to our students. This is an incredible opportunity for someone looking to build a career in SEN education, with a particular focus on applied behaviour analysis (ABA).
Working under the guidance of Qualified Teachers and our specialist team, you will:
Provide direct one:to:one and small group support to students in the classroom.
Assist in implementing individualised learning programmes and behaviour support plans.
Help students achieve their academic, social, and communication goals.
Support the implementation of strategies based on Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) principles to teach new skills and reduce challenging behaviours.
Contribute to the use of Comprehensive Application of Behaviour Analysis to Schooling (CABAS) teaching methodologies, ensuring data collection and progress monitoring.
Help create a positive, engaging, and structured learning environment.
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including teachers, therapists, and other support staff.
Participate in regular training and professional development sessions.
Assist with classroom organisation and preparation of learning materials.
What we are looking for
A minimum of 6 months experience working with individuals with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ideally within a school or educational setting.
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential due to our location and the need to support potential off:site activities.
A genuine passion for working with children and young people with autism.
An understanding of, or a strong willingness to learn, about Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and CABAS teaching methodologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude.
The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
