Head of HR - Facilities Management Salary: £70,000 - £85,000 per annum Car Allowance Comprehensive Benefits Location: Wetherby / North Yorkshire Area Contract: Permanent Atkinson Baker Associates are currently exclusively retained to recruit a Head of Human Resources on behalf of a leading and highly respected Facilities Management Provider. The Client Our client is a thriving FM business with a national footprint, delivering comprehensive hard and soft facilities management services to a diverse portfolio of public and private sector clients. Because their service is built entirely on the quality of their people, the HR function sits at the very heart of their strategic operations. They require a commercial, pragmatic, and robust HR leader to shape their people strategy as the business continues to scale. The Role Reporting directly to the Board, you will take full ownership of the HR function. This role requires a balance of high-level strategic planning and the willingness to roll your sleeves up for complex, escalated operational matters. Key responsibilities will include: Strategic Leadership: Designing and implementing a forward-thinking HR and People strategy that aligns with the wider commercial goals of the business. TUPE & Mobilization: Leading the HR aspects of complex contract mobilizations and demobilizations, with a heavy emphasis on TUPE transfers. Employee Relations: Acting as the ultimate point of escalation for complex ER cases, disciplinaries, and grievances across a large, mobile, and diverse workforce. Culture & Engagement: Driving employee engagement, retention, and wellbeing initiatives across both head office and remote site-based teams. Team Management: Leading, mentoring, and developing the existing HR and Talent Acquisition teams to ensure a high-performing support function. Requirements Essential: Proven experience operating as a Head of HR, HR Director, or Senior HR Business Partner ready for the step up. Essential: CIPD Level 7 qualified (or equivalent demonstrable senior experience). Essential: Significant experience within Facilities Management, Construction, Logistics, or a similarly fast-paced, heavy blue-collar sector. Essential: Deep, practical expertise in managing TUPE transfers and handling complex Employee Relations within a diverse, mobile workforce. Location: Must be based within a commutable distance of the Wetherby / North Yorkshire area. What's on Offer Salary: £70,000 to £85,000 basic salary (depending on experience). Package: Car allowance, performance-related bonus, and private healthcare.
