Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care home settings, assisting with daily activities and ensuring the highest standard of care. Responsibilities
* Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support individuals in maintaining their independence by helping with daily living activities.
* Implement care plans as directed by healthcare professionals, ensuring that each resident's needs are met.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to the nursing staff.
* Engage residents in social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
* Ensure a clean and safe environment for residents by adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare team members to provide quality care.
* Drive to various locations as required for home care visits.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
* A good command of English is required for effective communication with residents and colleagues.
* Basic IT skills for maintaining records and documentation are beneficial.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with residents and their families.
* A compassionate nature and a genuine desire to help others are essential qualities for this role.
