Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Construction Labourer to join our team in Jersey. The ideal candidate will be a Resident of Jersey and will play a vital role in various construction projects, assisting skilled tradespeople and ensuring that work sites are safe and organised. This position requires physical stamina, a strong work ethic, and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
Duties
* Assist in the preparation of construction sites by clearing debris and ensuring materials are readily available.
* Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment as required.
* Support skilled tradespeople by providing assistance with tasks such as mixing concrete, measuring, and cutting materials.
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Operate basic hand tools and power tools under supervision.
* Follow instructions from supervisors and contribute to team efforts to meet project deadlines.
* Report any safety hazards or equipment issues to site management promptly.
Experience
* Previous experience in construction or a related field is advantageous but not essential; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
* Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools is preferred.
* A strong understanding of health and safety practices on construction sites is beneficial.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated when required.
* Physical fitness is essential due to the demanding nature of the role, including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.
