Do you have knowledge and practical experience of data privacy laws? AXA UK invites a Third Party Data Protection Manager to join our Third Party Risk team on a 12‑month fixed term contract. Reporting to the Senior Data Protection Manager you will work with a team of data protection experts overseeing third parties so that the increasing levels of data privacy due diligence, technical assessments and assurance is carried out.
What you’ll be doing
* Provide data protection expertise to the UK business.
* Contribute to the ongoing development and maintenance of the Third Party Data Privacy Framework, effectively managing third‑party data privacy risks across the lifecycle.
* Ensure First Line data privacy responsibilities are delivered appropriately in relation to third parties.
* Perform assessments of data privacy due diligence, Transfer Risk Assessments (TRAs), completing DPIAs and support negotiation of data protection provisions and managing data protection assurance.
* Provide clear presentation of data privacy risks and appropriate reporting to the Second Line Data Privacy team.
Qualifications
* Strong knowledge and practical experience of data privacy laws, preferably within large multi‑company commercial organisations.
* BCS certificate in Data Protection, or equivalent and/or professional Data Protection qualification (PDP / ISEB / IAPP).
* Degree level education or equivalent professional experience.
* Solution driven pragmatic approach, achieving consensus on the best approach to provide regulatory compliance in the circumstances with major stakeholders.
* Ability to act calmly, rationally and proportionately in dealing with significant and potentially reputation damaging Data Protection issues.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to build strong relationships and communicate technical data privacy points with stakeholders at all levels.
* Good understanding of the Financial Services industry and the Data Protection issues they face, contract negotiation/support experience is desirable.
* Ability to work autonomously to achieve objectives but also critically work as part of a Business Unit & wider AXA UK Group transversal teams.
