The Opportunity
A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team supporting high-profile defence and security projects. This role would suit candidates working in these roles: Principal Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer, Systems Engineer, Safety Engineer, Design Authority, Technical Lead, Engineering Consultant, Project Engineer, Mechanical Analyst, or Engineering Manager.
Your duties and responsibilities will be
Lead the development of mechanical design solutions that meet client needs and project goals
Produce engineering calculations to validate performance and compliance
Prepare and maintain technical documentation including specifications and reports
Oversee project delivery ensuring timelines, budgets and quality standards are met
Review and verify engineering work produced by colleagues to support quality assuranceYou will have the following qualifications and experience
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline
Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards chartership
Strong grasp of mechanical principles and their application in regulated environments
Proven experience across the full design lifecycle, from requirements capture to final review
Familiarity with relevant design codes and standards used in safety-critical sectorsGet in touch now
