The role
CDM Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Fabricator Welder on behalf of our client for an immediate start. This role is initially being offered on a temporary basis, with the potential for the assignment to be extended depending on business requirements.
The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of workshop-based fabrication and maintenance projects, producing high-quality fabricated components and structures to customer specifications.
Key Duties:
* General fabrication and welding duties.
* MIG welding of mild steel components.
* Occasional TIG welding work as required.
* Fabrication of manifolds, pipework assemblies and bespoke fabrications.
* Manufacture and repair of handrails, stillages and general workshop equipment.
* Maintenance fabrication and modification work.
* Working from engineering drawings and fabrication sketches.
* Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard of quality and safety.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a fabrication and welding role.
* Competent MIG welder with the ability to fabricate from drawings.
* TIG welding experience beneficial.
* Experience manufacturing structural and bespoke fabricated products.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
