About the Role:
As a Business Support Officer, the primary reporting line will be to the General Manager; however, the role includes a close working relationship with Supervisors and Administrators.
* Ensure best practice for the control and audit of van stocks, fleet arrangements, plant, all working at height activity, and waste disposal.
* Office-based and Health & Safety compliance administration.
* Support onboarding and induction of new employees.
* Set up operatives' Toolbox talks, ensuring these are scheduled in their diaries.
* Support Health & Safety training, ensuring completion.
* Scan and save compliance documents.
* Order office supplies and uniforms.
Role Criteria:
* Experience working in an office environment.
* Experience working to tight deadlines in a busy office setting.
* Ability to handle multiple tasks in a high-volume, sometimes challenging environment.
* Good organizational skills.
* Good time management.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
All roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work within the UK; Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.
To drive a Mears vehicle, candidates must be over 21, have held their license for over 3 months, and have less than 9 points.
All roles are subject to relevant DBS/Security checks before employment starts.
