Candidates with experience in any of the following control systems Fanuc, Mazak, Heidenhain, Haas, or Seimens are strongly encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Working within a predominantly medium to high batch machining cell Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate production. Expertly program, set-up, and operate CNC machines using one or more of the specified control systems. Choose and prepare the right tools and materials for each machining job. Vigilantly monitor the CNC machines to guarantee consistent quality in production runs. Conduct regular maintenance routines on machinery to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate closely with our engineering and production teams, aiming for continuous process improvement. Adhere to the highest safety standards and protocols. Diagnose and resolve any challenges encountered during the production process. Stay updated on advancements in machining techniques and control systems to uphold our industry-leading standards. Knowledge, Skills, Experience Ability to program one of the following Haas, Heidenhain, Mazak, Fanuc or Siemens 5 Years experience working within CNC Programming Highest standards of H&S and Quality is essential Ability to interpret detailed engineering drawings and deliver conforming parts Working with various materials including exotic grade alloys A detailed understanding of engineering drawing, tooling selection, work holding & cutting strategy is essential A good communicator at all levels, with the ability to integrate and support a successful team Working Location/Environment Blackburn, Lancs BB1 2JU Company Benefits 25 days holiday per year Profit share bonus Company Pension Scheme Free secure parking
