18 Months (Fixed Term Contract)
If you enjoy solving problems and making an impact, we'd love to hear from you. We're looking for curious, motivated individuals to join our Bioresources team in Ferndown, Dorset. No prior experience in the water industry is required.
This is an outdoor role where you will operate and interface with mechanical plant equipment.
What you'll do
No two days are the same. helping to keep our bioresources treatment centres running smoothly and safely.
Your main duties will include:
* operating mechanical sludge process equipment, such as centrifuges
* treating the output through a liming plant
* operating a telehandler and HGV hook loader (full training will be provided)
* monitoring performance in the field
* carrying out routine maintenance
* taking and analysing operational samples
* optimising performance to meet key targets
* recording and reporting data to meet regulatory standards
* prioritising health, safety, and wellbeing — for yourself, your team, and the public.
This is a critical role with the operation being a key part of our wider activities, and your work will directly support the success and performance of multiple bioresources centres. It's about providing consistent performance and finding solutions when issues occur.
You’ll work an 11-hour day shift pattern: four days on, four days off. This includes weekends and emergency cover when needed.

* A full and valid UK manual driving licence.

* Commitment to completing mandatory and development training.
* Experience using telehandlers and LGV hook loaders is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
