The Supply Register is working in partnership with the Odyssey Collaborative Trust to recruit Primary Teaching Assistants / Learning Support Assistants for primary schools across Derby.
These opportunities are ideal for experienced support staff, newly qualified TAs, graduates, or individuals looking to gain valuable, hands‑on experience in primary schools.
About the Role
As a Primary Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant, you’ll support pupils across EYFS, KS1, and KS2, helping them to engage with learning, build confidence, and feel supported throughout the school day.
Roles vary depending on school need and may include general classroom support, small‑group interventions, or 1:1 support for pupils requiring additional help.
Key Responsibilities
Support teaching and learning across the primary curriculum
Deliver small‑group interventions and 1:1 activities when required
Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and day‑to‑day classroom tasks
Help create a positive, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and school staff
Encourage pupils’ independence, social development, and emotional wellbeing
