HSE MANAGER - MANUFACTURING OR PACKAGING BACKGROUND

£Upto £55K (DOE) + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holiday + Christmas Close Down + Company Sick Pay Scheme + Benefits
Monday To Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm
My client is a leading packaging manufacturer producing high-quality flexible packaging products to the food, beverage and household sectors. They are currently recruiting an HSE Manager to join their team. The chosen candidate will ideally be from a packaging or manufacturing background. You will plan, implement, monitor and review the protective and preventative measures required.
Role / Responsibilities:
Leading compliance with the Company's HSE targets / KPI's and acting as the link on these issues with the company group
Coordinating site Safety Framework activities and associated assessments & improvement programmes
Leading site Legal Compliance (and other requirements) programme (H&S & Environmental)
Leading site Behavioural Safety Observation programme and Risk Assessment programme
Maintaining ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 / Ethical systems responsibilities & facilitates external certification audits
Facilitating Monthly HSE Governance steering meetings
Leading site internal HSE Audit program
Leading site incident management programme (hazard reporting / near miss investigation / incident investigation)
Leading site Contractor Management programme
Leading site HSE Improvement activity and provides regular updates to the company
Leads site incident management programme (hazard reporting / near miss investigation / incident investigation)
Controlling site waste management programme and associated legal responsibilities
Providing regular updates & advises site Operations team or any aspects related to the safety, environmental or ethical management requirements.
Attending UK & IE quarterly HSE Governance as site representative.
Facilitating site HSE Briefings
Controls site waste management programme and associated legal responsibilities
Provides regular updates & advises site Operations team or any aspects related to the safety, environmental or ethical management requirements.
Attends UK & IE quarterly HSE Governance as site representative.
Leads site Induction programme
Assists where required in site Training activities
Facilitates site HSE Briefings
Collaborates with Departmental Management involved in the analysis and resolution of any incidents / accidents and associated claims.
Assists with any project management / management of change activity on site
Facilitates site machinery conformity improvement programmeExperience Required:
Previous HSE Experience from a packaging or a manufacturing background.
ISO 45001 & 14001 Experience in implementing, maintain and auditing
NEBOSH
University degree in (a) science (desirable but not essential)
Lead Auditor would be beneficial not essential
Be organised, hands on, determined and persistent
