Our client is looking to appoint a dependable and practical Caretaker to join a secondary school in Staffordshire. This is a full-time position starting in April 2026, supporting the safe and efficient operation of the school site.

The successful Caretaker will work closely with the Site Manager to ensure the school environment remains safe, clean, and welcoming for students, staff, and visitors throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities
• Opening and securing the school premises
• Carrying out routine maintenance and minor repairs
• Conducting health and safety and fire safety checks
• Monitoring site security and reporting issues
• Supporting contractors and deliveries on site
• Maintaining outdoor areas and general appearance of the site
• Assisting with room setups for exams and school events
Experience and Qualifications
• Previous caretaking or facilities experience preferred
• Practical DIY and maintenance skills
• Awareness of health and safety procedures
• Reliable, flexible, and proactive approach
• Legal right to work in the UK
