Title: Planning Manager
Location: Hammersmith, London (3 days site / 2 days remote)

An immediate opportunity has arisen for a Planning Manager to join a leading main contractor on a freelance basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven professional to take ownership of planning activities on a landmark scheme and lead a small team of Planners.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a team of Planners, providing guidance, mentoring, and support.
* Develop, monitor, and oversee the project programme using Primavera P6.
* Ensure the programme is fully compliant with contractual requirements under the NEC contract.
* Work closely with project and commercial teams to identify risks, opportunities, and mitigation strategies.
* Produce clear progress reports, dashboards, and analysis for senior management and the client.
* Play a key role in driving project delivery, ensuring milestones are achieved and programme integrity is maintained.
Candidate
* Proven experience working as a Planning Manager (or Senior Planner ready to step up) on major civil engineering projects.
* Strong technical proficiency in Primavera P6.
* In-depth knowledge and application of NEC contracts.
* Previous experience overseeing or mentoring junior Planners.
* Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
* A proactive approach, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-profile project environment.
