Join Our Team as an Experienced Bar Manager
We are seeking a proven, experienced, and driven individual to join the leadership team in a full-time position as Bar Manager for one of Cheltenham's most historic, revered and popular hospitality venues.
In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of the bar, including staff management (hiring, training, scheduling), inventory control (ordering, stock, vendor relationships), customer experience (service standards, complaint resolution), financial management (budgeting, sales, cost control), and marketing to drive business and build clientele. You will ensure a high standard of service, adherence to safety regulations, a positive atmosphere, and profitability within a fast-paced, hospitality-focused environment.
The Role in more detail:
* Manage the bar side of the venue, floor, bar and exterior selling spaces, working with the team as a whole and adapting the venue seasonally & creatively alongside the restaurant management team and GM.
* You will be a member of a caring, respectful team and will run rotas and scheduling to maintain a sustainable & high-quality work life for all members
* You will oversee service, alongside your team throughout the week, observing standards and adapting to aid efficiency & sales
* You will be in charge of retaining and improving relationships with suppliers, plus organising orders and stock systems.
* You will be in charge of overseeing and maintaining the venue's safety & hygiene protocols
* You will oversee the well-being of all staff and propel training for further growth
* You are expected to keep open communication with owner, with all staff members and lead with a sense of pride and inclusivity

Experience:
* Bar management: minimum 4 years (required)
* Licence/Certification:
* Personal Licence (preferred)
* WSET Level 2 in Wine (preferred)
