If you are a first-level Registered Nurse or a Registered Pharmacist who thrives in a community setting, assessing and supporting healthcare issues, this role may be suitable for you.
This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week) based in the Truro Service.
Key Responsibilities
* Keep up to date with developments in prescribed treatments and contribute to developing, implementing, and evaluating interventions such as harm reduction, support and advice in substance misuse clinics, detoxification advice, vaccination, and blood testing programs.
* Proactively reach out to community members to offer support and education.
We provide an induction period, ongoing supervision, and CPD opportunities.
Essential Skills
We welcome applications from prescribers with a passion for working with our client group, including those from other specialties, as full training and induction will be provided. Most work is face-to-face, so on-site presence is required.

Qualifications and Experience
* Be a Registered General Nurse, Mental Health Nurse, or Pharmacist (GPhC).
* Successfully completed the supplementary/independent prescriber course and be registered accordingly.
* Demonstrate prescribing experience and continuous professional development.
* Experience in delivering nursing interventions in community settings, healthcare assessments, care planning, and key working.
* Experience working within multidisciplinary teams and collaborating with external agencies.
* Knowledge of substance misuse and its health impacts.
