Key Responsibilities
1. Checking your delivery routes for the day.
2. Loading and preparing your van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are together and can be efficiently delivered directly to customers.
3. Ensuring all vehicle safety checks are complete on your van, maintaining full road compliance, health, and safety.
4. Being an ambassador for the Waitrose brand while on the road, with great customer service as your top priority.
5. Helping customers with their shopping and building rapport based on trust and service.
6. Supporting the wider shop team with general shopkeeping tasks when required.
Essential Skills/Experience
* Full valid B-Category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
* Great customer service skills.
* Time management skills.
* Ability to cope with physical requirements of the role (e.g., lifting crates, moving cages).
* Comfortable working independently, self-motivated, and adaptable.
* IT literate.
Desirable Skills/Experience
* Previous experience in a driving role and knowledge of chilled vehicles.
As a Customer Delivery Driver, you’ll bring Waitrose quality produce and Partner-led service directly to customers’ doors, embodying our ethos of passionate Partners serving food lovers.
When not on the road, you'll support the shop team with tasks like stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to the shop's efficient operation in a friendly, welcoming environment.
Up to 31 hours per week, with varied hours across seven days, including early starts, late finishes, evenings, and weekends.
