Consultant Anaesthetist – NHS Grampian Location:
Dr Gray’s Hospital, Elgin, Scotland.
Employment:
Full time, flexible or part‑time appointment. Designated work may also occur at other Grampian or Health Board hospitals.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the Anaesthetic Department at Dr Gray’s Hospital.
Provide specialist anaesthetic care in accordance with Royal College of Anaesthetists standards.
Participate in the newly established consultant‑led obstetric service, including the resident non‑consultant rota tier.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality patient care.
Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Full registration with a licence to practise with the GMC.
Certificate of Completion of Training (FRCA) and higher specialist training leading to CCT.
Within 6 months of confirmed entry on the GMC Specialist Register from interview date.
Eligibility for CESR or Portfolio Pathway specialist registration, where applicable.
International recognised specialist qualification approved by the GMC for substantive consultant post.
Additional Information
Flexible and part‑time working patterns available; annualised work may also be considered.
