A large and well-organised secondary academy in Liverpool is seeking a skilled and analytical Data & MIS Officer to join its central operations team. This is a key technical and administrative role within the school, working closely with senior leaders, heads of department and pastoral teams to ensure data systems are accurate, compliant and effectively utilised.
The Role
As Data & MIS Officer, you will manage the school’s Management Information System (MIS), maintaining accurate pupil records and supporting reporting cycles. You will oversee assessment data input, produce progress reports and provide analysis to inform strategic planning.
The role includes preparing data for internal monitoring, external returns and inspection requirements. You will also support timetable updates, census submissions and statutory reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain and update pupil data on the school’s MIS system
• Produce assessment and progress reports for senior leaders
• Manage data collection cycles and ensure accuracy of entries
• Prepare statutory returns including census submissions
• Support attendance and behaviour data tracking
• Provide training and guidance to staff on data systems
