Territory Sales Manager – Aggregates & Asphalt
Are you a driven sales professional with a passion for building customer relationships and driving business growth? We’re looking for a Territory Sales Manager (TSM) to manage a portfolio of accounts across a defined geographical region.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing and executing a territory sales strategy that focuses on increasing market share (volume), growing revenue, and improving RCO profit. You’ll engage with both existing and new customers through various channels, including digital platforms, and have the opportunity to sell value-add products and services within your territory.

4. Build strong relationships with both existing and new customers.

Key Accountabilities
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
1. Operate as the point of contact for assigned customers.
2. Call cycles for customers and prospects defined and adhered to. Use a variety of digital media, including video calls, to maintain close customer contact. Call cycle objectives should be set in the customer management plan (CMP).
3. Assist in the preparation of quotes and submission of tenders.
4. Be actively involved in preparation of annual sales budgets and forecasts for the relevant territory.
5. Ensure queries are resolved in defined timeframe and against over-arching Hanson metric (< 3% of revenue in query at any time, or lower if already achieved).
6. Improve share of wallet through upselling/cross-selling at required profitability level.
7. Develop and maintain long-term commercial relationships with customer accounts supported by a customer strategy to deliver on the Market Strategy Plan (MSP).
8. Enable the customer to receive required products & services in a timely manner by ensuring there is business alignment (including between sales, operations, and logistics).
9. Communicate market/customer needs and demands to Hanson through identifying insights.
10. Forecast and track customer account metric achievement.
11. Manage projects within customer relationships, working to carry out customer goals while meeting company goals.
12. Identify opportunities to grow business with existing and new customers in line with the product line/region strategy.
13. Coordinate with colleagues working on the same account to ensure consistent service.
14. Collaborate with other sales teams and colleagues to reach prospective customers.
Knowledge:
* Basic search engine optimisation knowledge is preferred.
* Possess excellent product knowledge.
* Awareness of product attributes and performance.
* In-depth construction and building materials market knowledge.
* Construction product knowledge (aggregates, or asphalt).
Experience:
* A proven track record of achievement in a Territory Sales Manager role in a related industry with a multi-million-pound sales budget.
Education/Qualifications:
* Relevant experience in sales.
