Are you a confident and caring Learning Support Assistant looking to support children in Key Stage 2 this September?
Long Term Futures are working with an outstanding primary school in the NG7 area of Nottingham to recruit a KS2 Learning Support Assistant (LSA) for a full-time role starting in September 2025. The school is inclusive, well-resourced, and highly supportive of staff and pupils alike.
You'll be working across Key Stage 2, supporting pupils with additional learning needs both in and out of the classroom. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong communication skills, resilience, and a genuine desire to help children thrive both academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide in-class support to children in Years 3-6, including pupils with SEN or EAL needs
* Deliver small group and 1:1 interventions in literacy, numeracy, and emotional regulation
* Promote positive behaviour and engagement with learning
* Assist with preparing learning materials and supporting class routines
* Work collaboratively with class teachers, the SENCO, and pastoral team
We're Looking For:
* A Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3) or relevant experience
* Prior experience working in a KS2 setting or supporting pupils aged 7-11
* Confidence supporting a range of learning styles and needs
* A calm, patient, and adaptable attitude
* Commitment to pupil progress and wellbeing
