As part of our ambitious growth and development strategy, we are seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join our thriving team, working on interesting and challenging projects.About the role:
You will play a pivotal role within a growing, multidisciplinary team of professionals. We operate across a diverse range of sectors including Education, Residential, Commercial and Leisure, with projects ranging from small repair and alteration schemes to new build developments.
In this role you will be involved in the full range of Quantity Surveying services and have the opportunity to be involved in all stages of a project; from initial project definition and brief, cost planning, through to procurement, construction and building use.
Applicants currently studying and due to graduate in 2025 are encouraged to apply, as consideration will be given to employing the right candidate on a part-time basis from now until completion of studies, with the option for the position thereafter becoming full-time.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Measurement and producing bills of quantities (SMM7 and NRM2)
Proficiency in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial management
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for evaluating tenders and project drawings
Excellent negotiation, communication, and client relationship skills
Knowledge of building regulations, contracts, and financial regulations
Experience working on construction or built environment projects
Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, or a related field
Professional membership in RICS is advantageous
Attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines effectively
Excellent written and spoken communication skills
Proactive and driven approach to work and promoting success
Ability to working in a team of diverse individuals to meet common objectives.
Good organization skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Full UK Driving licence as you will be required to visit sites.
