JOB OVERVIEW

We are working with a number of schools across Leeds who are seeking resilient and patient Behaviour and Inclusion Support workers to join their team. They cater to students who are unable to attend mainstream - due to being excluded, unwell or from challenging backgrounds. * What you will be doing:
o Helping KS3 and KS4 students settle in when school is feeling a bit different to what they are used to.
o Giving one-to-one or small group support—across subjects to help them feel comfortable, eager to learn.
o Handling SEND like autism, SLCN, and learning challenges with steady patience and high level of calm.
o Keeping things settled when behaviour flares up—showing then that you have their back and modelling strong behaviour.
o Working with the pastoral team to support challenging behavioural, learning difficulties.
o Fostering the participation of students in the social and academic aspects of school life.
o Primarily being involved with running either a behaviour support base for on calls, or an internal seclusion room or a combination of the two.
o Being involved in various duties throughout the day including gate and lunch duties.
What you will need to onboard:
* DBS on update service (or we can support to helpyou apply for one)
* Two recent references
* A big heart, firm boundaries, and head screwed on when it comes to safeguarding

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
