Potential Head of Year Maternity Cover for the right candidate - TLR 2c £8,279. We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Maths Teacher to join our thriving maths department and pastoral team providing high-quality teaching of maths and student support. The successful applicant will be passionate about teaching and committed to supporting students in achieving their very best across Key Stages 3 – 5 with high numbers taking A-level maths. Teaching high-quality lessons and a focus on high standards and engagement is vital to the role as we are committed to excellent outcomes for all our young people as well as providing wider curriculum opportunities that support our students’ holistic education.
The role includes Head of Year responsibilities, managing the educational and personal development of individual students across a year group. You will have a clear vision for pastoral support and the strategic leadership skills to deliver improvements. You will be an outstanding practitioner who has the vision, energy and drive to further improve standards of achievement for the students.
Responsibilities
* Teach high-quality maths lessons to students across Key Stages 3–5, with a focus on engagement and achievement.
* Fulfil Head of Year duties, responsible for the educational and personal development of students across a year group.
* Contribute to wider curriculum opportunities and the holistic education of students.
* Provide pastoral support and leadership within the maths department and pastoral team.
Qualifications and Experience
* Qualified teacher with the ability to teach Maths at KS3–KS5 (A-level experience advantageous).
* Evidence of successful teaching and a clear vision for pastoral support and student achievement.
* Ability to lead and work with a team to improve standards and outcomes.
