Grace Cook Primary School Address: Fuller Way, Stowmarket, Suffolk IP14 1GB Salary: MPR/UPR plus SEN Allowance Hours: Full Time, 3 days as Class Teacher, 2 days as SENDCo Contract: Permanent, required from 13 April 2026 Reference: 8218 Grace Cook Primary School is seeking a motivated, committed and experienced Class Teacher with SENDCo (Special Education Needs Coordinator) Duties to join our warm, passionate and forward-thinking team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a thriving school within OMAT (Orwell Multi Academy Trust) a collaborative and supportive trust dedicated to excellence in education. Applications for just the SENDCo role will be considered. About the roles Class Teacher As our Class Teacher you will deliver high-quality teaching and learning across three days each week. You will bring creativity, commitment and high expectations for all pupils, 3 days per week. You will: be an excellent classroom practitioner put pupils first in everything you do plan and deliver engaging learning that secures strong outcomes have high expectations of behaviour, progress and achievement bring energy, positivity, resilience and innovation contribute to the continued development and success of our school. SENDCo As our SENDCo, you will play a central role in shaping and delivering high-quality provision for pupils with SEND. You will work strategically and operationally to ensure every child receives the tailored support they need to flourish, 2 days per week. You will: lead and manage the school’s SEND provision in line with the SEND Code of Practice identify and assess pupils with additional needs and coordinate effective interventions work collaboratively with teachers, support staff and families liaise with external specialists and agencies maintain accurate SEND records, including EHCPs and provision maps monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SEND provision be a qualified teacher holding NASENCO or NPQ for SEN (or be working towards it) be a reflective, caring and knowledgeable practitioner be an effective communicator and confident leader be committed to improving outcomes for pupils with SEND.
