The Opportunity Reporting to the Group Feed Production & Logistics Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for: Day-to-day direction of the production site and staff, including planning and scheduling the daily output of the site Ensuring compliance with the various Codes of Practice in operation, e.g. UFAS Enforcing the Group's Health and Safety policy within the feed production environment and site Playing an active role in the ongoing maintenance of the quality assurance programme, ensuring its full implementation and practice by the production staff Ensuring site hygiene standards are improved and maintained Implementing and maintaining on-going use of IAuditor for cleaning and maintenance Overseeing warehouse operations and loading area on a day-to-day basis Developing and managing the site pest control plan Overseeing the maintenance team in conjunction with the Maintenance Manager Reporting any irregularities immediately as necessary for the smooth and compliant operation of the site, production and the wider business The Person The successful candidate will: Have proven experience working in and managing manufacturing or production environments Possess strong team building, decision making and people management skills Be an outstanding communicator and effective leader with the skills to motivate others Be an organised and resourceful problem solver with excellent planning skills Be familiar with internal and external auditing procedures Be passionate about driving a positive safe, and compliant culture In addition to a competitive salary you will receive: Profit related annual bonus Employee discount at Wynnstay depots 32 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays Save As You Earn schemes
