The Role The successful candidate will: Deliver high-quality, differentiated teaching to pupils with diverse learning needs. Create and adapt lesson plans to meet individual Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets. Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that nurtures personal growth and independence. Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and families to ensure the best outcomes for learners. Maintain accurate records of progress and contribute to regular review meetings. Requirements Applicants must have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification. Proven experience working with children and young people with SEND, ideally within a specialist setting. Strong knowledge of SEN teaching strategies, differentiation, and assessment methods. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills. A compassionate, resilient, and flexible approach. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Desirable Additional qualifications in SEN or therapeutic interventions. Experience with a range of needs such as autism, speech and language difficulties, or social, emotional, and mental health needs.
