After significant growth over the last 5 years, this growing bakery in Loughborough is looking for a day shift Engineering Manager to support and develop a growing team. Working a 4 on 4 off days pattern, you will be responsible for executing the planned maintenance schedule and minimizing downtime.
This business values its employees and reinvests profits back into the company. Ideally, you will be a senior engineer seeking to advance into management or have previous team leadership experience.
Responsibilities of the Engineering Shift Manager:
* Perform reactive maintenance and tasks aligned with machinery PPM schedules.
* Lead and develop a team of 4 engineers.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation.
* Contribute to continuous improvement projects.
* Report machinery breakdowns and PPM status during shift handovers.
* Provide realistic time and cost estimates for maintenance tasks.
* Assist in sourcing and purchasing spare parts and equipment.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Time-served Mechanical or Electrical Apprenticeship to at least City and Guilds, NVQ, or BTEC Level 4.
* Experience in repairing and maintaining manufacturing or production plant & equipment.
* Knowledge of fault finding, PLCs, basic programming, and testing.
* Multi-skilled with strong electrical expertise.
* Food hygiene accreditation (desirable).
* Experience in FMCG or food manufacturing is essential.
