Overview
Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for Senior EC&I Engineer roles on a contract basis, based in Cumbria or Warrington.
Responsibilities
* Respond to and resolve technical queries from suppliers and clients in a timely and structured manner
* Support the Contract Engineering Lead throughout design and procurement phases
* Monitor equipment manufacturing, testing, and delivery through to site installation
* Review supplier documentation, technical submissions, and surveillance reports to required standards
* Identify and manage engineering risks, opportunities, and design changes
* Coordinate interface management across multidisciplinary engineering teams
* Assess and validate engineering modification requests for accuracy, compliance, and necessity
Qualifications
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
* Experience in instrumentation design, procurement, testing, or installation
* Strong capability in reviewing technical documentation and following up with suppliers
* Knowledge of British and/or EU electrical standards
* Background in heavy industry environments such as nuclear, power generation, or oil & gas
* Understanding of process instrumentation systems and their integration within complex facilities
