Position Overview
We’re looking for a motivated small animal vet to join our Hartpury branch on a part‑time basis, working Tuesdays and Fridays (09:00 – 19:00), covering 19 hours per week. You will be sole charge on these days, supported by a dedicated nurse and reception team, with additional backing from our other Sundean branches. This role offers a perfect balance between consulting and operating on a variety of routine and occasional urgent cases, ensuring a dynamic and engaging workday.
About Us
One of our biggest strengths is the team that we have. We have clinicians interested in imaging and small animal medicine, and other areas! This collaborative environment allows for continuous growth and learning, providing you with the opportunity to expand your skill set. We have regular clinical club meetings during the working day, a chance for our vets to collaborate on cases and share knowledge and experience. We have all the kit and equipment that you’d expect to find in a modern practice with an in‑house laboratory, ultrasound, digital radiography, K‑laser and much more!
Location
The Hartpury branch lies less than half an hour from conveniences in Gloucester and Cheltenham, while surrounded by countryside. The area is very popular for equestrian activities, countryside walks and other rural amenities. The local schools are among the highest quality, and it is a very popular area for new housing and local infrastructure.
Team Feedback
"I joined Sundean Vets in November 2023. Since joining them, I've really enjoyed working with the team and love the friendly people who are great to work with. At Sundean you get adequate time to manage your cases, have time to think and interpret blood results and the facilities are great as well." – Chloe Walker, Veterinary Surgeon
