Applications are invited for a maximum part time (9 sessions) substantive position as a qualified Breast Clinician at the Nightingale Centre, Wythenshawe Hospital. The role requires the appointed candidate to be able to work independently in breast radiology clinics and family history risk assessment clinics. Applications are invited from doctors with the relevant training and skills, such as completion of the Credential in Breast Disease Management. Applications from trainees in their final three months of training will be considered. This post will be based in the Nightingale Centre, Wythenshawe Hospital and the appointed candidate will be employed by Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT). The successful candidate may be asked to work sessions at North Manchester General Hospital. Main duties of the job The appointed candidate will be primarily responsible for the provision of patient care in new patient clinics and family history clinics. Typical responsibilities of the appointed candidate will include: 1. 4 sessions of new patient symptomatic clinics 2. Intervention (ultrasound guided intervention) 3. 2 sessions of family history clinics 4. Multidisciplinary team meeting 5. 1 session of Supporting Professional Activity (SPA). This role does not include NHSBSP screen reading or assessment clinic responsibilities.
