Location: 54 High Road, Beeston, Nottinghamshire, NG9 2JP. There is a requirement to travel to the Hospice in Loughborough for Corporate Induction and meetings as well as other shops across the East Midlands. Hours: 37.5 hours, working 5 out of 7 days (Monday to Sunday) including occasional bank holidays.
About the role: Our retail shops are essential to funding this care. We are looking for a committed and capable Shop Manager to lead our Beeston store. This is a great opportunity for someone with retail experience who enjoys working with people and making a meaningful contribution to the local community.

Responsibilities
* Manage the day-to-day operations of the shop
* Lead and inspire your team of staff and volunteers to meet income and profit targets
* Maintain high standards of customer service, stock presentation, and shop layout
* Work with the eBay Manager to maximise the value of donations through online channels (e.g., eBay, Depop)
* Promote and manage the Gift Aid scheme with eligible donors
* Attend induction, meetings, and training sessions at the Loughborough hospice and other locations as required

Essential Requirements
* Experience managing a retail shop or department
* Excellent customer service and communication skills
* Ability to recruit, train and motivate volunteers
* Ability to work towards financial targets and manage budgets
Desirable Requirements
* Experience of working with and supporting volunteers
* Working knowledge of risk assessments
* Experience of volunteering
