The Role Reporting to the Purchasing Assistant you will be responsible for the control of the stock yard to ensure adequate supply of loose paper for pulpers. Key Role Requirements Break bales and mix loose paper in order to ensuring adequate supply of loose paper for pulpers Mixing and sorting of paper in main yard, including removal of rejects Carry out quality checks on paper loads as they enter the factory, ensuring that quality standards are met Successfully rotate stocks operating a first in first out policy, in order to preserve the quality of raw materials Operate forklift trucks, loaders, and other vehicles, as and when required, and only if certified to do so Unload lorries (raw materials, chemicals etc) in a safe & efficient manner ensuring the smooth flow of traffic throughout the yard area Topping up process chemicals as and when required Maintain the yard as a safe working environment, ensuring the cleanliness of belts and surrounding areas Carry out stock takes as required, ensuring accurate records are kept and suitably reported Provide break and absence cover for the pulper operator Support the pulper operator with loading of belts Ensure machinery is maintained to an acceptable standard at all times e.g. washing, greasing etc Any other duties as and when required Essential Shortlisting Criteria In order to be shortlisted for this role, candidates must: 12 months experience gained in a similar manufacturing role Have a good standard of education (educated to GCSE level in Maths and English) Current, valid forklift license Experience operating and maintaining forklift trucks with and without clamp Strong attention to detail Current, valid loader license (Desirable) Those wishing to apply for this position, should apply online by visiting: Completed applications must be returned by 5pm, Tuesday 14th October 2025 Skills: Problem Solving Team working Communication
