The role
As a Production Planner, you’ll be at the heart of delivering complex submarine projects that protect national security. You’ll plan and monitor engineering and material technical requirements across all stages of the project lifecycle, ensuring everything runs smoothly and on time. Day-to-day, you’ll support production teams by planning and monitoring engineering and material technical requirements across all stages of the project lifecycle.
1. Support delivery and monitoring of Government furnished equipment, plant hire and technical queries.
2. Liaise with Procurement teams, Supply Chain Leads and MoD representatives to ensure timely material delivery.
3. Track progress and identify potential delays early, reporting to the Senior Production Planner.
4. Build collaborative relationships with stakeholders to support project success.
5. Participate in review meetings and contribute to accurate reporting.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.
Essential experience of the Production Planner - Material Technical Support
6. Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
7. Proactive mindset with a drive to succeed in a busy team.
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
9. Experience with SAP, PEPS, Coupa preferred (training provided).
10. Skilled in creating and developing reports using MS Excel.
Qualifications for the Production Planner - Material Technical Support
11. ONC or NVQ Level 3 in engineering or a related discipline. Relevant knowledge and experience in a similar role may be considered.
