Interim Clerk of Works (x2) – South Coast – Housing Improvement Programme

A public sector organisation on the South Coast is seeking two experienced Clerk of Works professionals to support a major housing improvement programme focused on delivering Decent Homes standards. This includes upgrades to kitchens, bathrooms, roofs, and boilers across the housing stock.
Role Overview:
These are site-based roles involving inspection, contractor oversight, and sign-off of completed works. Some administrative duties are also included.
We are recruiting for two distinct profiles:
1. Fabric/Building Construction Specialist – with experience in general building works.
2. Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Specialist – with expertise in installations such as boilers and other M&E systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Inspect and sign off completed works
* Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance
* Maintain accurate site records and reports
* Liaise with project teams to ensure smooth delivery
