Description
BestStart Beckenham is seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher in Training to join our energetic and supportive team. Our focus is on providing quality education and fostering a nurturing environment for the children in our community.

About the Role: If you have a passion for teaching young children and are currently enrolled in a Level 7 ECE programme (Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or Graduate Diploma), we want to hear from you!
This is a permanent position working 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday, based in our Nursery (Under 2s), with occasional opportunities to support our preschool room. We are looking for a Teacher in Training who has a sound understanding of infant and toddler development and is eager to work collaboratively with a team of four other teachers. Our Nursery caters to 16-19 infants and babies each day, creating a dynamic and engaging learning environment.
The successful candidate will have a passion for planning and implementing the 16 areas of play while incorporating the fundamentals of Te Whāriki into daily activities. We are looking for someone who shows great initiative, can think on their feet, and communicates effectively. Experience working with under 2s is essential.

Role Requirements:
* Enrolled in a Level 7 ECE Bachelor or Graduate Diploma course
* Strong understanding of child-led curriculum, planning, and extending children's learning
* Sound knowledge of current ECE regulations, Te Whāriki, and compliance standards
* Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through inclusive pedagogical practices
* Passion for teaching and a dedication to delivering high-quality learning experiences
