The Borgen Project is an international organization working at the political level to improve living conditions for those impacted by war, famine, and poverty. With 20 years of advocacy experience, it has supported legislation benefiting nearly 500 million people in developing countries.
Nonprofit Leadership Programme
This role offers insights into key skills needed to lead and develop a nonprofit organization. It is a part-time, 12-hour-per-week, 12-week unpaid remote program. If your availability is limited, you can work ahead and complete the program sooner.
Program Components:
* Advocacy Leadership Development: Meet with government representatives, represent The Borgen Project at events, and mobilize support for poverty-reduction legislation.
* Fundraising Development: Learn fundraising skills, create campaigns, and meet targets.
* Recruitment: Update job postings, inform groups about openings, and participate in interviews.
* Marketing and Promotion: Pitch stories to media, utilize social media, and develop online messaging strategies.
Experience: No prior experience needed. We seek passionate individuals committed to fighting poverty, regardless of background or GPA.
Details: This is an unpaid internship, but college credit may be available.
Start Date: New programs start monthly. You choose your preferred start month.
