Qualifications
* Have experience gained in sourcing, buying and procurement with at least 2 years in Oil & Gas, other energy sector or technological industries. This work experience needs to be in the UK and have a good understanding of the UK work environment.
* Have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college. Preferred technical background.
* Some experience or adequate training on contracts and agreement templates.
* Have experience with SAP or Oracle is essential.
* Leading procurement activities and bringing to the decision making.
Responsibilities
* Taking care of RFQs and contacting suppliers to obtain competitive quotations.
* Placing and following up on purchase orders (PO) and managing relationships with suppliers for PO execution.
* Keeping on-time delivery of required goods and services and monitoring the status.
* Detecting and signalling flaws in approaches, methods, procedures and processes and suggesting improvements.
* Taking care of contract negotiation, renewal and discussion with suppliers.
* Managing supplier relationships to understand the business, gather market intelligence, assess risk and ensure compliance to KPIs.
* Processing and taking care of suppliers' invoices and any required rectification.
* Understanding the content of purchased items and preparing comparison tables to find the best value.
