Job title: Duty Security Officer

Inspired & supported by: Director of Safety & Security
Salary: £35,420 + tronc service charge
Location: London, United Kingdom
Your Purpose Will Be: To work closely with managers and leaders across the Hotel and maintain good public relations and Safety & Security awareness through training. To control access to Back of House areas, monitor alarms and assist with visitors and enquiries.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure staff swipe in/out correctly, verify appropriate access levels and prevent unauthorised entry; document visitors and direct them to destinations.
* Issue and receive keys, create new staff IDs, and record staff names and times.
* Carry out patrols of Back of House and Front of House areas to ensure doors are secure and fire exits are clear.
* Monitor CCTV, report unusual activity, perform bag searches of staff and contractors, and record searches in the Log Book.
* Coordinate with supervisors regarding disabling fire alarms during steam cleaning when required.
* Record and report accidents and incidents; provide first aid or arrange hospital treatment as needed.
* Monitor Fire Alarm, Panic Alarm, Showcase alarm, and Door alarm panels.
* Ensure proper handover at shift end and maintain Security Log and records.
* Comply with Health & Safety legislation and maintain safe working practices for colleagues and self.
Qualifications
Essential Assets
* 1-3 years’ experience in the Hospitality Industry.
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
* Confident and dynamic speaker, able to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
* Strong organizational skills; able to work independently and meet deadlines with quality results.
* Applicable job-related skills as per Accountable Duties.
Proven Experience/Qualifications
* Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence – Essential
* Valid First Aid Certificate – Desirable
* Additional Health & Safety, SIA CCTV, Defibrillator or Fire Marshall / Warden training or qualifications are advantageous.
