We’re looking for a Metrology Engineer to join a world-leading engineering and technology organisation in Norfolk — supporting accredited calibrations across newly manufactured and existing high-performance products.

This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in a globally recognised calibration team, ensuring absolute accuracy and reliability in every measurement.

The Role

As a Metrology Engineer, you’ll work alongside senior engineers and calibration specialists to:

* Perform and develop calibration methods and techniques for high-level instrumentation.
* Conduct uncertainty analysis, control charting, and statistical process control to maintain precision.
* Review calibration results and provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders.
* Support the maintenance and improvement of the ISO/IEC 17025 quality system and accreditation.
* Design and develop automated test and measurement systems to enhance efficiency and consistency.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all calibration and measurement processes.

What We’re Looking For

* BSc in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent calibration training/experience.
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a metrology or calibration environment (preferably ISO/IEC 17025-accredited).
* Familiarity with MET/CAL software and/or programming in C#, VB, Java, or Python for automation and data analysis.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
* A strong communicator who thrives in a team-driven, quality-focused environment.
* Highly organised, self-motivated, and meticulous with exceptional attention to detail.

What You’ll Gain

* Join a globally respected engineering brand known for precision and reliability.
* Work in a state-of-the-art calibration environment with some of the industry’s best metrology professionals.
* Develop your technical and analytical skills while contributing to world-class measurement standards.
* Be part of a collaborative culture that values continuous improvement, innovation, and professional growth.

Benefits (UK)

* 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays
* Free car parking at all sites
* Free tea and coffee at all sites
* Local bonus plan – profit share 5%
* Vision tests and reimbursement for glasses
* Employee Assistance Program

Following completion of the probationary period:

* Private medical cover (BUPA) – individual, couple or family
* Company sick pay
* Company-matched contributory pension (5%) with salary-sacrifice option
* Life assurance cover – 4 × basic salary

If you’re ready to take your Metrology career to the next level and play a part in developing industry-leading calibration systems, we’d love to hear from you.
