About the role
We are looking for a Legal Secretary to join our Real Estate team in our Ross-on-Wye office. You will become part of a wider, integrated and growing Commercial Property team, recognised in both Chambers and Legal. In this role, you will support our fee earners across a broad range of real estate matters, including agricultural work.
Day to day, you will have a varied caseload, including:
1. Delivering a secretarial and administrative service, including diary management, opening new matters, scanning, archiving, photocopying, managing files, and some audiotyping
2. Supporting Fee Earners and client relationships by taking client enquiries over the phone and via email, managing post and responding or progressing matters as appropriate
3. Managing compliance, records and processes, including file opening, KYC procedures, document control, archiving, and preparation of forms and reports
4. Preparing draft bills and processing client account transfers for disbursements and funds under Fee Earner instruction, ensuring accurate billing and settlement
Whilst this role is based in our Ross-on-Wye office there will be the opportunity for you to occasionally support our fee earners based at our other offices.

5. Previous experience of providing a secretarial service within a legal or professional services environment
6. Knowledge of Land Registry and SDLT processes is strongly desirable
7. Excellent communication, organisational, attention to detail, and IT skills
8. A strong team player
9. Exceptional understanding of confidentiality and high levels of client service
