We are currently recruiting for a Director of Revenue & Network to join the Commercial team based in our Glasgow Head Office. The Director of Revenue & Network is a strategic and analytical leader responsible for maximising the airline's revenue through data-driven forecasting, pricing optimisation, load factor development, channel management and efficient network development.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Management, Pricing & Forecasting
* Lead pricing, inventory control, and revenue optimisation strategies with advanced forecasting.
* Apply short-term forecasting techniques (e.g., booking curve analysis, daily/weekly revenue outlooks) to optimise tactical revenue decisions.
* Build long-term forecasting models to predict market demand, yield performance, and growth opportunities across 1–5 year horizons.
* Integrate market intelligence, competitor data, and macroeconomic indicators into forecasts and present recommendations in terms of growth markets or those in need of optimisation
* Conduct scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to prepare for demand shocks or competitive shifts.
* Drive through ancillary revenue initiatives that will deliver improved overall revenue and reduce the reliance on pure ticket-related revenue
* Spearhead new approaches to deliver dynamic pricing techniques
Network Development and Planning
* Oversee schedule design, route planning, and slot utilisation using both real-time demand forecasts and strategic projections in order to deliver the most optimum revenue outcome.
* Balance short-term tactical schedule adjustments (e.g., seasonal demand, fleet swaps) with long-term network development (e.g., route expansion, hub optimisation.
* Partner with Operations and Fleet Planning to align forecasted demand with fleet availability and operational reliability.
* Monitor schedule profitability and ensure alignment with strategic growth objectives.
Data & Analytics including Channel Management
* Champion the use of advanced analytics, machine learning, and predictive modelling within revenue and scheduling teams.
* Develop dashboards and KPI reporting for both daily performance tracking and long-term strategic insight.
* Ensure forecast accuracy and continuous model refinement using historical data and real-time performance monitoring.
* Build a culture of evidence-based decision making across the commercial team.
* Manage the Commercial relationship with our Reservation System provider, our GDS suppliers as well as META channels and aggregators
* Work with finance to deliver new payment channels and widen the distribution funnel
* Maintain the Staff Travel booking system (MyID) and further develop airline relationships for the benefit of Loganair staff via the Zed-Miba community of airlines.
Leadership, Collaboration
* Lead and mentor a team of revenue analysts, traders, pricing executives, forecasters, network developers, and planners.
* Drive through new revenue initiatives including new ancillary revenue streams to deliver the overall revenue budget
* Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations teams to align revenue forecasts and the network design with commercial and operational objectives.
* Manage corporate relationships including the NHS and our codeshare with British Airways in terms of Cargo revenue and other freight/mail businesses to realise freight revenue opportunities on scheduled services.
* Drive through additional alliance and codeshare partnerships where it makes strategic sense for the business and delivers additional revenue.
* Oversee the Loganair Loyalty programme in conjunction with AVIOS
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, Aviation Management, or related field (Master's preferred).
* 10+ years of progressive experience in airline revenue management, forecasting, or scheduling Experience.
* Proven expertise in both short-term forecasting and long-term strategic planning.
* Proficiency with revenue management systems (RMS), scheduling tools, and analytics platforms (SQL, Python, R, Tableau/Power BI).
* Track record of applying predictive modelling, scenario planning, and data-driven insights to optimise commercial performance.
