Senior Physiotherapist – Cavell Hospital
37.5 Hours & Permanent
Salary: Up to £42,500.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)
Overview
We have an opportunity for a Senior Physiotherapist to join the Physiotherapy department at Cavell Hospital. This full‑time role requires covering a flexible shift pattern.
Duties
* Lead the assessment, treatment, and management of patients with complex conditions within your specialist area (e.g., MSK, neuro, orthopaedics, respiratory).
* Use advanced clinical reasoning to develop and adjust treatment plans that align with patient goals and evidence‑based practice.
* Provide expert input into patient care discussions, ward rounds, and multidisciplinary meetings.
* Provide formal supervision, mentoring and training to Band 5/Level 1 physiotherapists, assistants and students.
* Support the allocation and coordination of caseloads and ensure safe, effective prioritisation of therapy services.
* Act as deputy or team lead in the absence of the Physiotherapy Lead or Clinical Services Manager.
Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria
* HCPC‑registered Physiotherapist.
* Extensive post‑registration experience including complex caseload management and a defined clinical specialty.
* Strong leadership, mentorship and organisational skills.
* Evidence of audit, service development or quality improvement contributions.
* Excellent communication and multidisciplinary team‑working ability.
* Postgraduate qualification in a relevant specialty or leadership.
* Experience in private healthcare or leading a specialist outpatient or inpatient service.
* Involvement in teaching, research or clinical publication.
* Familiarity with digital health tools, electronic documentation and data reporting systems.
