Our client, a major Quantitative Hedge fund, is looking to hire an experienced Data Engineer to work closely with quantitative portfolio managers and researchers in a collaborative environment. This hire will be exposed to the entire research process and will be given input into the generation of trading strategies over time.

Responsibilities
* Design and evolve data systems required to enable the quantitative investment process
* Develop tools and automation to onboard, classify, and reconcile datasets
* Analyze and validate data quality, supporting researchers in preparing data for modeling
* Monitor and troubleshoot production data pipelines, resolving issues quickly
* Collaborate with trading, research, and technology teams to improve workflows
* 3+ years’ experience in data engineering/science within the financial industry
* Experience with ETL pipelines or financial datasets is a plus
* Strong Python skills; SQL and Linux familiarity
* Detail-oriented with a passion to work in fast paced trading environments
