Some students need more than just a teacher — they need someone who understands, supports and believes in them.
We are looking for a Behaviour Support Assistant to work with secondary school students (Key Stages 3 & 4) who may have SEN, SEMH needs, or behavioural challenges. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where your ability to stay calm, build trust and provide consistent support can have a lasting impact.
You’ll play a vital role in helping students regulate their emotions, re-engage with learning and succeed in school.

Your Responsibilities
* Providing 1:1 and small group support to students
* Supporting pupils to manage emotions and behaviour effectively
* Using calm, consistent de-escalation strategies
* Building strong, positive relationships based on trust and respect
* Encouraging engagement in lessons and school activities
* Working collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff and pastoral teams

* Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with teenagers
* Resilience, patience and emotional intelligence
* A genuine desire to support and motivate young people
* A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
