Job Description:
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to over 1.15 million people, extending to 2.2 million with regional and national services.
This is a permanent, part-time position of 8 hours per week, with shifts Monday to Friday. The salary is pro-rata for part-time hours.
Requirements include a BSc in Dietetics or equivalent, registration with HCPC, and preferably postgraduate training in paediatric dietetics or experience in diabetes. Further training and CPD opportunities will be discussed and provided.
A full UK driver’s license is required.
We are seeking a motivated dietitian passionate about paediatric dietetics to provide high-quality care to children with diabetes. While paediatric experience is preferred, applications from those interested in pursuing paediatric dietetics are welcome. Funding for relevant BDA post-registration modules is available.
The Children’s diabetes service in Glasgow is among the largest in Europe, caring for over 800 children and young people with Type 1, Type 2, and monogenic diabetes. The multidisciplinary team includes medical staff, diabetes specialist nurses, dietitians, support workers, a young adult nurse, and psychologists.
You will work within a team of dietitians, with excellent peer support and development opportunities, including participation in the Scottish student clinical placement program.
Details on contacting the Recruitment Service can be found in the Candidate Information Packs.
