Fixed term post for 2 years About the Role It is an exciting time to be joining Salford City Council as part of an innovative and new role. Salford are on the journey to further embedding Preparation for Adult Life (PfA) across all phases of education, health and social care. We are seeking a creative and ambitious person to lead this work across all key stakeholders and partners to ensure young people acquire the skills and knowledge for them to succeed after statutory education and into adult life. Salford are soon to launch a PfA Policy which will provide a framework for everyone involved to work towards over the next few years. This role will involve strategically implementing this policy and will include developing new ways of working and supporting professionals and those working with young people and families to understand how all elements of PfA can help them achieve the best outcomes. The role will also involve designing and delivering training and resources, whilst also offering individual settings support and challenge to drive quality PfA outcomes. About you This lead role will be the face of PfA in Salford and therefore we are looking for a dynamic, passionate and tenacious individual who wants to make this role their own and make a difference to the lives of our children and young people. You will be an enthusiastic and resilient individual with good interpersonal skills who will be able to build strong, positive relationships with schools and education settings, parents/carers and colleagues as well as have the confidence to demonstrate assertiveness and challenge where needed. We will not be accepting candidates who require a sponsorship for this position. Please be aware that this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and that you will be required to meet the cost of the DBS check currently 49.50. The payment for this will be deducted from your first four months salary payments at a rate of 12.38 per month. If you do not commence employment for any reason but the DBS has been processed, you will be sent an invoice for the payment of 49.50.
